- WHERE do you think they are in the U.S., making their way South? specific references/places in the narrative that give away from geographic location?

- MAJOR THEMATIC TIE-IN: ***CARRYING THE FIRE*** What does this mean?
- "THE GOOD GUYS" vs. **"THE BAD GUYS"--look for these references; what ARE the differences in the two? (**pp 90-92 IS HUGE for this in descriptive detail of 'the bad guys'
