ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!
STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING, AND BEFORE YOU SCROLL DOWN, LOOK AT ALL THESE MEMES!!!
It's the best HUMOR [AND SOME HEARTFELT EMOTION] I could gather from the past week to end WEEK#2 online learning craziness, and some are collaged together, so ENJOY!
THEN scroll below to your class's FRIDAY HW REMINDERS **AND** important instructions for this weekend! :)

Anyone else got a case of 'the morbs?' Anyone??
I feel every *ONE* of these deeply. #dontcutyourownhair #HOMEDschool #granniesandgrampies
Because it wouldn't be right without The Office memes (and a dude commuting to work in his bathroom)...
Book Title: _Rhetoric: A Study Through Words and Images_
Both are SO TRUE; *ALSO INCORRECT USE OF "EVERYONE"--it's EVERY *ONE,* people!!!

OOF.
Feeling this so much rn....

Literally me yesterday as earth #broketheinternet
Any who've been in my classes for any amount of time should know I look at this and...well, it's HARD to look at. Oof. :O This hurts some of our eyes, I know.
LOVE me some Dolly Parton JOLENE memes.
What a compelling cover for_The New Yorker_ from this week. Look at the visual rhetoric/pathos and logic appeal--and symbolism!

********EVERYONE LOOK AT THESE COOL COVID19 U.S. PROPAGANDA POSTERS I FOUND********

FYI, 4th: NEXT WK/LOOKING AHEAD... WE'LL BE MEETING IN A HANGOUT FOR A READING CHECK AGAIN (you'll do on paper WITH ME!!) DURING THE HANGOUT, I'LL LOOK AT/HAVE YOU SHARE SOME OF YOUR POST-ITS FOR THE ROAD; HERE ARE SOME HUGE, HELPFUL RDG./PLOT/THEME/SYMBOLIC POINTS TO REMEMBER AS YOU DO THIS:
    • FLASHBACKS to this point and their SIGNIFICANCE?
    • WHERE do you think they are in the U.S., making their way South? specific references/places in the narrative that give away from geographic location?
    • WATER? where is it, and if present, what could it represent?
    • **HOW MANY BULLETS ARE IN THE GUN?** (Note this changes from flashback to present-day, and we're gonna explore WHY soon--see if you can figure it out! :) )
    • COLORS? anything besides the ashen grayness of the landscape (*NOTE THOSE *OTHER* FEW COLORS b/c it is/they are significant!)
    • remember/locate FIRE references--positive or negative connotation?
    • "...THE ROAD..." mentioned over and over at the breaks of each segment of the narrative, and WHAT it represents; WHY?
    • **the part with the FLASHBACK to a DOG--pay attention! *Was also mentioned before through pp. 69; why is this significant? (**REMEMBER TALKING ABOUT "THE 21st CENTURY GOOD GUY" and CHOICES that must be made to protect the child that is his "warrant" (5).)
    • MAJOR THEMATIC TIE-IN: ***CARRYING THE FIRE*** What does this mean?
    • "THE GOOD GUYS" vs. **"THE BAD GUYS"--look for these references; what ARE the differences in the two? (**pp 90-92 IS HUGE for this in descriptive detail of 'the bad guys'
