**ASSIGNMENTS FOR ONLINE LEARNING WED. 3/18

ALL CLASSES: ONE LAST TIME...PLEASE READ!
....a few practical things to remember during this very unprecedented time for us all:
  • remember to check your school email, texts, Remind, and this blog at least once per [week] day; I'm keeping this all manageable, y'all, for both myself and you all
    • I'll do my best to send out a daily group text message to each class just as a reminder for each day's tasks/to check here and that I'm available if needed (1st block, group text from me around 9am; 2nd 10am; and 4th 11am; *this text will be a reminder RE: instructions/due dates posted on here)
    • I've also JUST LAST NIGHT and/or TODAY started posting some recorded info/helpful instructional and check-in videos or voice threads for you to access and watch/listen to; please view these for help with the readings we're doing or just general reminders for class
  • PLEASE, PLEASE get ahold of me if you have ANY questions/doubts about what to do concerning ANY assignment, written or otherwise, reading, video, etc.; I'll get back to you as soon as possible
    • **I've added all my contact info (*EXCEPT my phone #--get it on the Google Classroom page you joined OR the class syllabus you received at the beginning of the semester!) to the header of this blog; take note if needed!
  • remember to be patient and flexible; we'll get the hang of this pretty soon. I'll be remembering the same for you all as well; this is definitely new territory for us all, and it'll be nowhere near perfect
  • And finally, take care of yourselves! If necessary, turn the TV off--especially the news/media, get off social media and detox, be aware of scare tactics and gaslighting in stories and headlines...but ALSO be aware of/protect your own health (mental and physical)

[*LAST LINE/BOTTOM OF THE PAGE: "Then they set out down the road again" (69).]

  • TODAY, JUST FOCUS ON READING FOR UNDERSTANDING AND PLOT. Get caught up through this point in the novel if need be!
  • PRO-TIP AS EXPLAINED LAST WEEK IN CLASS: MAKE POST-ITS AS YOU READ! And watch my video above RE: The Road and what you need to remember/be noticing thus far for some checkpoints of understanding; and contact me if none of that helps!
  • FYI: coming up on the next few days will be some assignments to help us dig deeper into understanding the novel; stay tuned here for more info...
