1) SAT JOURNALS #12 or #13:
--CHOOSE ONE (1) to COMPLETE w/10 sentences, words in context (the 'usual' rules)
--DEFINE ALL EIGHT (8) WORDS FOR #12 and #13, please!
2) FOR YOUR GROUP "TMDG" analysis essay, HAVE A (ONE) COMPLETED 'FINAL' BODY paragraph that your group has all collaborated on

**CHECKLIST FOR GROUP BODY PARAGRAPH COMPLETION:
__COMPLETE 9 to 14 sentences, typed or written
__TRANSITION SMOOTHLY from your thesis sentence to the FIRST SENTENCE of your body paragraph
__TRANSITION SMOOTHLY from your thesis sentence to the FIRST SENTENCE of your body paragraph
__MUST HAVE THREE "blended quotes" from the text as evidence of your analysis of suspense and foreshadowing and how it is used within the story
__effective TRANSITIONS from one example to the next
__MUST HAVE: ONE example of foreshadowing and ONE example of suspense WITH EXPLANATION; choose unique examples besides 'the usual' ones; you may use your "TMDG" precis to incorporate details as well
__KEEP STORY 'summary' details AT MINIMUM! This is ANALYSIS WRITING, not a summary
__NO PASSIVE VOICE; USE YOUR 'POWER VERBS' SHEET!!!/NO 1st or 2nd person
__USE PRESENT TENSE about the STORY DETAILS
__*make sure to tie each example and the final sentence back to your GROUP THESIS
*****AND PLEASE NOTE: IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO HAVE YOUR green RC handy for story details, such as AUTHOR's NAME, characters, spelling, page #s for citations, etc.
**REMINDER: be reading THE WAVE TO FINISH POSSIBLE BY THE END OF THIS WEEK BEFORE FALL BREAK (it's an easy read!!); as you read, think of themes associated w/Night in a
modern-day 'social' context….
