ATTENTION AP LANG/ENG 1102; HW DUE MON. 1/31:
1) FIRST, make sure you've all read the following in Arthur Miller's play The Crucible:
- ALL OF ACT THREE
- 1st BLOCK THROUGH pp. 120 and 2nd BLOCK THROUGH pp. 111
2) FINALLY, check out the x3 ACT 3 qu's below and TAKE CARE TO ANSWER EACH FOR DISCUSSION MON. 1/31
--as with the Overture + Acts 1 & 2, answer while/after you read (i.e., post-its, paper notes, pg. # references, etc.), so long as you have a HARD COPY OF YOUR ANSWERS
ACT THREE:
- As Act Three begins, why does Giles Corey interrupt Judge Hathorne? Be specific and be ready to note "blended text evidence" that supports your answer (Miller #).
- What does Danforth do with the list of people supporting Rebecca and Martha? " " " "
- Why does the court debate whether Proctor plows on Sunday? What is the significance of this debate? " " " "

- At this point in the play, what conclusions have you drawn about Abigail? Why? Support your reasons with "blended evidence from the text" (Miller #).
