1) FIRST THING: click the following link and read the QUICK 3-paragraph summary/historical background "Queen Elizabeth I Against the Spanish Armada":
2) NEXT, given to you in class WED. 10/20 (*and attached as a pdf on the Classroom*/supplemental section of binder), read Queen Elizabeth I's "Speech to Her Troops at Tilbury"
HERE'S ALSO A TEXT LINK w/a SPOKEN VERSION OF THE SPEECH:3) FINALLY, on the back side of the speech paper/pdf copy, ANSWER the *FIVE STARRED QU's* on paper or on the sheet itself/within the speech text
- Use the GOOGLE SLIDES PRESENTATION "THE RHETORICAL SITUATION" that's linked on the Classroom (that we went through in class WED. 10/20) to help you complete this assignment
- Use the speech to choose specific "text evidence" and rhetorical elements to answer each of the questions
- ANNOTATE to help yourself better understand the purpose of this speech
- USE BOTH THE LINKED BACKGROUND/HISTORICAL INFO as well as OTHER ASSIGNMENTS we've recently completed [in the WAR PACKET PART I, for example] to help guide you to successfully complete these qu's
