In the ANALYSIS, ARGUMENT, and SYNTHESIS ASSIGNMENT "WAR PACKETS PART I and II" given to you in class THURS 10/22 (4 1/2 pages total/SUPPLEMENTAL SECTION of binder), complete the following: 

1) FIRST and FOREMOST, read the "WA'Background and Purpose'" statement, pp. 1


2) Read CICERO, excerpt from On Duties (and background!), pp. 1
  • JOT DOWN/WRITE AN ANSWER TO the qu's marked/#s 1, 2, 3 on the pg.  

3) Read Eisenhower’s “Message to Invasion Troops” (and background!), pp. 2:  
  • JOT DOWN/WRITE AN ANSWER TO the qu's marked/#1 (First Rdg.) and #1 and #4 (Second Rdg.) on the pgs.

    • IMPORTANT!! This will be your first 'crack' at AP LANG EXAM-STYLE MChoice QU's, so it's a low-pressure situation...AS LONG AS YOU COMPLETE THEM AND DO YOUR BEST! The best way to get better at these is through effort and practice, which we're starting now
    • afterward, we will check the practice MChoice qu's together to see how many you get correct, so BE HONEST; your score for this first one is just so we can get our 'sea legs' with MChoice practice, just do your best
