--FIRST, read the Upfront Magazine (Jan. 9, 2017), informational news article "FAKE NEWS FOOLING MILLIONS" pp. 6-7, given to you in class Tues. 1/28 (WRITING SECTION)  

--THEN, ithe WRITING section of your binder, completJOURNAL #4 by answering/responding to BOTH questions below RE: the article:
  • Experts say that fake news sites are eroding the public's ability to distinguish between fact and fiction. Why might that be a concern in modern society?
  • What does the author [Stoffers] mean when he writes that fake or distorted news is "nothing new" (7)?

**QUICK JOURNAL REMINDERS:
--JOURNAL RESPONSES are 150-200 words (minimum) length, and written or typed responses are fine 
--you may use "I"/"we" [1st person] in these less-formal responses
