**also: you each will be completing a ESSAY WRITING CHECKLIST for your FINAL DRAFT essays that you will be given Tues. 8/22 to staple to the front of your final draft after you complete it/turn in final

CHOICE #2: ANECDOTAL/PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ESSAY 

CHOICE #1: METAPHORICAL/ESSAY OF DEFINITION REQUIREMENTS/CHECKLIST: 
--"What Is ____?" as your TITLE
--250-word MINIMUM LENGTH
--have at least THREE developed paragraphs within this essay
--Use the "______ is ______" construction at least THREE (3) times
--include THREE (3) or more rhetorical questions in your essay body


CHOICE #2: ANECDOTAL/EXPERIENCE ESSAY REQUIREMENTS/CHECKLIST: 
--CREATE YOUR OWN ORIGINAL TITLE
--250-word MINIMUM LENGTH
--have at least THREE developed paragraphs within this essay
--Use DIALOGUE/CONVERSATION/INNER DIALOGUE at least THREE (3) times
--include IMAGERY/DETAILS (2 or 3 of the FIVE SENSES) in the body of your paper

HW DUE THURS. 8/24:

1) Read Bradbury's short story "The Pedestrian" given to you Tuesday ("NOTES" section of binder)

2) As you read, HIGHLIGHT the specific details I told EVERYONE Tuesday to pay attention to/make note of (light imagery/dark imagery/touch imagery/symbols/**KRIEGER themes**)

3) After reading, use the 1/2 sheet given to you in class Tues. and COMPLETE JOURNAL #3 informal/personal response writing assignment with the question below ("WRITING" section/also below):

After reading both Fahrenheit 451 and “The Pedestrian,” for JOURNAL #3 in your BINDER WRITING SECTIONEVALUATE Bradbury's words ABOVE and what they mean to you.  Consider both texts and use the plot and insight you’ve gained from our readings and discussions to help you respond to and evaluate his statement.
