1)  In your GRAMMAR WORKBOOK, COMPLETE practice pages on ‘APOSTROPHES’/possessives; pg 169 and 170/ALL EXERCISES on BOTH pages (30 total items)

2) IN your GREEN READER'S COMPANION, read the excerpt from MLK Jr's "I HAVE A DREAM" SPEECH on pp. 44-46

--answer ALL SEVEN (7) QUESTIONS on the sides of the text on a sheet of paper IN YOUR BINDER "NOTES/Lit. Terms" section

**we will start a short NONFICTION UNIT after the break with this text and FINISH with the Everest reading and notes/discussion/video

3) FOR SAT JOURNALS #22-26:

--DEFINE ALL WORDS (NEATLY, PLEASE!); 20 TOTAL

--CHOOSE TWO (2) and complete in POETIC STYLE: 

  a) ONE is to be a 'free-verse' (rhyme optional, but still needs to be in line format poem with AT LEAST 10 LINES and ALL FOUR [4] WORDS!)

  b) the other is to be a HAIKU that uses AT LEAST TWO (2) of the vocabulary words listed for that journal!!!

***HAIKU  = THREE LINES:

-FIVE SYLLABLES (line one) 
-SEVEN SYLLABLES (line two)

-FIVE SYLLABLES (line three)
