--pp. 65 EX 1 (**write each sentence w/the REQUIRED 'phrase, clause, OR one-word modifier' we labeled in class today!)

**use your handouts from today RE: 'Phrases vs. Clauses' to help with these pages if needed 

2) QUIZ #6 tomorrow/will include the following:
--you will complete a 'SOAPSTone' on a short story I give you
--name characteristics of SHORT STORIES (notes/LINK)
--name some common elements of FAIRY TALES (notes/LINK)
--identify DIRECT vs. INDIRECT CHARACTERIZATION 
--know what is meant by "3rd person UNLIMITED" narrator/point of view
--define the literary terms FORESHADOWING and SUSPENSE
--BASIC plot elements of the short stories "The Cask of Amontillado" and "The Most Dangerous Game"
