A few reminders for the LAST FOUR DAYS of class:
--if I did not return an individual graded copy of your FINAL AP LANG. ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY to each of you, I will do so on TUES. 5/16
--I will also be finalizing your COURSE GRADE in the next 24 hours!

1) Be prepared for your FINAL EXAM WRITING PROMPT RESPONSE in class!
--worth a 10% FINAL EXAM score (AP 1-9 scale) as well as a grade
--TIMED, 50min. AP. LIT-style response  
--OPEN-ENDED PROMPT GIVEN BELOW!
--REMEMBER: this response is a timed ROUGH draft, but must be thorough/developed
--UNDERSTAND what the prompt is ASKING YOU TO DO based on your writing practice this semester! 

FINAL EXAM WRITING PROMPT:
In Kate Chopin's novella The Awakening, protagonist Edna Pontellier is said to possess "that outward existence which conforms, the inward life which questions" (Chopin). In a text that we have studied this semester (**USE YOUR GENRES 'tree' SHEET; short story/novel/novella/NF novel**):

--identify a character who CONFORMS OUTWARDLY while QUESTIONING INWARDLY

--THEN write an essay in which you ANALYZE and EVALUATE how this tension between outward conformity and inward questioning contributes to the meaning of the text/work.
