So I'm rereading In Cold Blood with my AP kids. By Truman Capote. Great book. And I come across this excerpt that feels like it fits me about 90% of the time. (Insert my name where "Nancy" and "Nancy Clutter" appears):
"Goodness, no. I just love her to death. Well everybody does. There isn't anybody like Nancy. Do you know what Mrs. Stringer says?" said Jolene, naming her home-economics teacher. "One day she told the class, 'Nancy Clutter is always in a hurry, but she always has time. And that's one definition of a lady.'"
:p
So I am living like Nancy Clutter.
Well, except for the fact that I've not been shot point-blank range with a shot gun.
Ick.
At least the quote's suitable! And, I hopefully made you want to read the book!

Post from 3rd block...
We are all here in 3rd about to grade a grammar and proofreading exercise. They all say hey to all the people out there who read this ridiculous blog. What's so cool is they are watching me type this because I have this groovy new computer projector that lets them see all I do. We've been all over the place today on this thing!
That's all.
That's all.

The White Flag
ok, ok. I concede. You got me. ROLL, not ROLE. Between that and my mistakes with argumentative essays (not to mention the AP multiple choice debacle--don't ask! I'll admit MORE mistakes on Tuesday), I guess we'll have to start a tally sheet. Oh well. At least I'm not too proud to admit mistakes; I really do think humility has to be a defining trait of a well-rounded teacher. Otherwise, you'll live a bitter and pretentious life. No one likes a person like that.
Just remember, my little pretties..."Old age and treachery will ultimately triumph over youth and skill..." cackle, cackle...
